Dr. Jiao’s lab shows her commitment to diversity as team members come from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences. The lab uses a cascading mentorship style, where graduate students mentor undergraduate researchers and undergraduate students mentor high school summer interns, while in turn receiving mentorship from faculty. The entire team meets weekly to discuss experimental progress and share research strategies and experiences.
