Any Oregon K-12 teacher can be a C-GEO member, which consists of receiving our quarterly email newsletter Geobytes. We'll keep you informed about resources and professional development opportunities with C-GEO and other geography organizations.  Subscribe to Geobyes.

C-GEO Teacher Consultants (TCs)

C-GEO TCs are highly trained geography advocates, who have access to benefits available to only C-GEO TCs.

Benefits include the following:

  • Eligibility to apply to C-GEO International and Advanced Institutes
  • Eligibility to apply for travel grants to attend professional meetings, for classroom materials and supplies for geography education projects, and to fund the organization of Family Geography Night at your school 
  • Opportunities for collaboration with over 700 TCs throughout the state
     

How to become a C-GEO Teacher Consultant

An Oregon teacher who wants to become a TC must attend an introductory level C-GEO summer institute. Oregon K-12 teachers are eligible to apply to our institutes. See Professional Development for information about summer institutes.
