  1. Talya Bauer, Business faculty, was a presenter as part of the HR division research roundtable networking forum, Aug. 4-8 at the Annual Meeting of Academy of Management in Boston. 
  2. Berrin Erdogan, Business faculty, was the discussant in the Symposium “Perceived Overqualification: New Directions,” Aug. 4-8 at the Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management in Boston.
  3. John Hall, Economics faculty, co-organized the special session “Advancing Evolutionary Institutional Economics” and presented the research paper “Similarities, Commonalities and Parallels in the Contributions of Thorstein Veblen and Friedrich Nietzsche,” Sep. 13-15 at the Meeting of the European Association for Evolutionary Political Economy in Leeds, England. 
  4. Shirley A. Jackson, Sociology faculty, was a panelist for the session, “Author Meets Critics: Angie Beeman, Liberal White Supremacy: How Progressives Silence Racial and Class Oppression,” Aug. 20 at the Society for the Study of Social Problems Annual Meeting in Philadelphia.

Isabel Jaén Portillo, World Languages and Literatures faculty, delivered the talk "An Historicist Approach to Affect and the Embodied Mind: Sabuco, Cervantes, and the Early Modern View on Emotions and Human Development," July 12-16 at the International Interdisciplinary Conference at the University of Warsaw, Poland.
  7. Lihong Qian, Business faculty, presented her paper “Technology vs Market Knowledge: How Can Public Funding Aid Commercialization and Industry Emergence?” Aug. 4-8 at the Annual Meeting of Academy of Management in Boston.
  8. Pronoy Rai, Geography faculty, delivered an Aug. 17 talk on “Research Methodology and Methods,” and led an Aug. 19 roundtable discussion on “U.S Undergraduate Programs, the 2020 (Indian) National Education Policy, and Lessons and Challenges for Indian Higher Education Institutions,” at Gopikabai Sitaram Gawande College in Maharashtra State, India.
  9. Anousha Sedighi, World Languages and Literatures faculty, presented a paper titled “Persian as a Diasporic Language in the United States: A Survey of Heritage Persian Learners at College level” Aug. 21-25 at the European Conference of Iranian Studies at Leiden University in the Netherlands.
  10. Emily Shafer, Sociology faculty; Ahmed Almousa and Anne Johnson, Sociology graduate students; presented “The Educational Gradient in Time Spent in Childcare for Mothers and Fathers from 2012-2021,” Aug. 19 at the Annual Meeting of the American Sociological Association in Philadelphia.
  11. Gerry Sussman, Urban and Public Affairs faculty, was a panelist on the topic, “Disinformation Control: Is the Cure Worse than the Disease?” Aug. 31-Sept. 3 at the American Political Science Association conference in Los Angeles.
