New degree: BA/BS in Business Economics

The Economics Department is proud to announce a new undergraduate degree - the BA/BS in Business Economics! This degree gets you ready for a career that involves applying economic theories and research methods to address challenges faced by businesses. With this degree, you can find opportunities in various industries, including business, finance, human resources, marketing, information technology, and sales. Graduates in Business Economics are in high demand in local, national, and international job markets. They are also well-equipped to face challenges in the global economy and have the skills to start their own businesses.

Join the Economics Department for an in-depth discussion of Oregon’s economy considering local, national and world events currently affecting our state. This timely discussion brings together leading experts to explore the state’s economic growth, job market, budget and revenue uncertainty, the impact of federal policy and tariffs, healthcare challenges, and the vital role of public institutions and higher education.

With insights from economists Jeff Renfro, Peter Huselman, Robert McCullough, Rajiv Sharma, Sheila Martin, Jenny Liu, and Tom Potiowsky, this event will shed light on both the obstacles and opportunities shaping Oregon’s future.

This event is free and open to the public.
