Why Your Donations Matter
Every year, the Women’s Resource Center supports students of all genders who are experiencing sexual and relationship violence -- that may be in the form of dating/domestic violence, sexual assault, sexual harassment, or stalking. We provide confidential services to those students to support them in establishing stability and safety and persisting in their educational pursuits.
Like many other students at PSU and across the nation, our student survivors are often already in a state of economic precarity when they experience trauma and crisis. The legal fees, moving costs, and medical and mental health bills that students accrue as a result of experiencing trauma can be debilitating in the face of student debt, often only part-time employment, and other financial barriers. When student survivors do not have access to the resources they need to find security and stability in housing, childcare, legal fees, and medical and mental health support, the barriers can become insurmountable, forcing them out of school. This is where you come in. Your support of the Women’s Resource Center can help a student survivor find safety, stability, and complete their degree. Your contribution can give a student survivor a better chance of getting their degree - contribute now.
