Program Assistant

Anna-Liza Victory is the Program Assistant for the Professional Certificate in Tribal Relations program under the Institute for Tribal Government. She has been with the program since 2018 and is primarily responsible for the coordination of the class sessions and field experiences. She is a citizen of the Cherokee Nation.

Anna-Liza is currently a post-baccalaureate student in Anthropology. She graduated summa cum laude from PSU in 2020 with a BA in European Studies and with minors in French, German and Russian. She also serves as the President of Eta Chi, PSU’s chapter of Sigma Iota Rho Honor Society for International Studies (SIR).

She is interested in international cultural heritage and preservation policies and is particularly passionate about indigenous repatriation efforts abroad. She will be starting her Master’s in Russian, East European and Central Asian Studies at the University of Washington in 2021 where she hopes to further study issues that affect the Indigenous peoples of Russia.
