Located in the Engineering Building, stairwell between the main floor atrium and basement

An Art Deco-style composition featuring a stylized Portland skyline at center, a river in the foreground, and vessels including a ship, submarine, streetcar and rocket ship.

About the artists

Portland Abstraction was created by Una Kim's summer mural class, ART 399: Murals A-Z, in which students submit proposals for a site-specific mural and then collaborate on the execution of one selected design. Several murals created by this class in various years can be found around campus.

Una Kim's own work can be found on her website.
