The University Honors College Dean is responsible for overseeing and managing the recruitment and retention of distinguished scholars and exceptional instructors as well as outstanding students; managing the allocation of UHC’s fiscal, human, and capital resources, including space planning; setting direction and structure for curricular and scholarly efforts to foster and promote exceptional academic degree programs and research pursuits; planning, evaluating and overseeing academic programs; managing promotion and tenure guidelines for faculty; garnering support from university alumni and from internal and external stakeholders, including non- profit and for-profit sectors, government, faculty senate, and educational organizations; and leading energetic efforts to secure philanthropic support, cultivating development opportunities with a broad array of constituents.
