Wondering what it's like to be an Honors student?

Come meet one of our student ambassadors for coffee (or tea, matcha, or juice) at one of our many campus coffee shops.  You can ask about classes, commuting, dorm life, student clubs, leadership positions, and anything else you are curious about.  Afterwards, the ambassador will walk you over to an Honors class.  You will get to meet the professor and then sit in for an hour.   The Honors Ambassadors will be available in April and May.

Learn more about our Ambassadors below and then let us know a time that works with your schedule by filling out this form.  We hope to see you on campus soon.

She is in her final year at the Honors College and presented her History Honors thesis at PSU this past December and at a national history conference in Washington, D.C., this past January. She has served as the Editor-in-Chief of Anthós, the Honors College’s student-run, faculty-reviewed, open-source academic journal. In 2024, she received an Oregon Heritage Fellowship from the Oregon Parks Service for her research on the history of the Portland Assembly Center during World War II. Beyond her historical and academic interests, Lauren enjoys exploring the Pacific Northwest with her rescue dog, Patsy Mink.

Transferring to PSU Honors allowed me to pursue fulfilling academic study with the resources, support, and freedom to develop and write my Honors Thesis. The skills I’ve learned in Honors enriched my PSU coursework–Honors or regular–and empowered me to pursue academic excellence.
