Collaborative Governance Internships

Intern being congratulated by the group

Interns work side-by-side with our practitioners

We offer internship placements that allow graduate students to build their collaborative skills and participate in active collaborative governance projects around the state. Prospective interns are interviewed and placements are tailored to students’ interests and skill level.

Intern activities are tailored to you

Interns sometimes perform the following tasks:

  • Observe collaborative stakeholder meetings, take meeting notes, and draft summaries
  • Create spreadsheets to track group member information; maintain a project calendar
  • Conduct meeting evaluations
  • Conduct research to support collaborative projects
  • Help plan meetings, coordinate logistics, and prepare meeting materials
  • Schedule conflict assessment interviews, observe interviews
  • Draft website summaries or help create a social media presence for a project
  • Provide other project support

Prospective interns are interviewed, and placements are tailored to students’ interests and skill level.

Application deadline

We accept internship applications at any time, and make placements as projects become available.

We offer 509 placements

We also offer 509 placements for PSU's Public Administration students on a case-by-case basis.
