The Oregon semiconductor industry depends on a strong workforce trained in science, engineering, and manufacturing. The PSU Physics and Chemistry Departments are collaborating with regional industry in workforce training in semiconductor technologies which include paid summer internships.

CCAR REU Program

The PSU CCAR Research Experiences for Undergraduates Site is focused on conducting research projects related to climate and atmospheric sciences, particularly atmospheric chemistry, physics, air quality, meteorology and climate change.

BUILD EXITO

BUILD EXITO is an undergraduate research training program that supports students on their pathway to become scientific researchers. The BUILD EXITO Model aims to identify students early in their college career and engage them in finding solutions to today's major health problems.

LSAMP Program

The Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) Program is committed to supporting the success of students from historically underrepresented groups pursuing and earning a bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).

REU Site Program

This summer program allows students to engage in research work in a multidisciplinary environment while training them in microscopy and microanalysis techniques for materials characterization. The goal is to provide research opportunities to students who do not have access to advanced research facilities at their home.
