Do I have to be in crisis to reach out? No. Whenever you decide it may help to consult with a mental health counselor, we are here.
How many credits do I need to be taking to use Student Support? All PSU students taking 1 or more credits can access My SSP.
Is there a limit to the number of times I can access Student Support? No. This service is unlimited in support to you. It is common for students to reach out multiple times looking for support on a variety of topics.
Can I use this if I am currently receiving therapy? Yes, this service is available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week and may be of help in between sessions.
I am a graduate student. Will this be relevant to my needs? Yes. Student Support mental health counselors work to identify where you are in life, and what you are working through in this moment. People at any stage of their academic path, and any stage of life, may find it is helpful to have a phone call or chat session with a mental health counselor.
What if I am in crisis? Student Support has experienced mental health counselors who can assist you in a mental health emergency. There is no wrong place to start if you need crisis support. Call or chat 24/7 with Student Support.
