Each year, the Faculty at-large elects an interinstitutional faculty senator to serve for a three-year term beginning January 1st. the subsequent two academic years.
The senior member of PSU's IFS delegation is a non-voting ex-officio member of Faculty Senate Steering Committee.
Members of the delegation, if not already elected faculty senators, are non-voting ex-officio members of Faculty Senate.
Charge
The Interinstitutional Faculty Senate comprises elected faculty from all public institutions of higher education in the state of Oregon. IFS works with state legislators and civil servants to ensure that faculty views are reflected in state higher education policy.
