Julie earned her B.S. in civil engineering from the University of Florida and her MBA in finance from Portland State University. She brings 20 years of private sector experience in financial services, technology, medical device manufacturing, and utilities working for start-ups and Fortune 500 companies. Proud to call Portland home for the past decade, Julie served as a leader of global project management offices, business systems, and operations teams at Fiserv, TE Connectivity, and Selectron Technologies working with teams in Southeast Asia, South America, Europe, and New Zealand. Prior to that, she led program teams at General Dynamics and Itron in Washington state and served as a project engineer at Duke Energy in Florida.
Julie is experienced in organizational leadership, corporate and venture finance, financial technology, strategic planning and execution, business transformation, operations, customer relationship management, negotiation, and project management. She is a passionate coach and mentor for the next generation of leaders, a certified project manager and scrum master, and an advocate for STEM education. Julie enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, and learning new languages.
