Benefits and Services

Portland State is still your campus. As an alum you have access to many of the facilities you enjoyed while a student. We also strive to offer services that benefit alumni wherever you live.

Who is eligible? Any former student of Portland State University who completed 60 hours or more of coursework. The former yearly dues of $40 have now been waived for all alumni wishing to joing the PSU Alumni Association.

*Please note that it make take up to two weeks for your membership card to be mailed to you. Not all services can be obtained without your card so please call our office (503) 725-4949 for assistance.

 

Services for Portland State Alumni:

On Campus 

  • 5th Ave Cinema: Portland State University's student-run cinema house screens an eclectic selection of camp, cult, classic, and contemporary independent and mainstream films. Admission for PSU Alumni is free with their membership card.

  • Career Center: Advising & Career Services offers alumni a wide range of career development and job search services. Alumni can take advantage of their online jobs database, monthly workshops and career fairs, as well as one-on-one career counseling.  For those alumni seeking to give back by recruiting current PSU students, our Employer Relations staff will work closely with them to customize an on-campus outreach and recruiting plan.

  • Campus Rec: Membership to the Rec Center for only $35/mo. Just present your Alumni Membership card at the front desk to sign up.

  • Portland State Library: Alumni have free checkout privileges, and on-site access to databases and computers.  Simply present your active membership card at the Library counter for library access.  

  • PSU Bookstore: Year-round 10% discount for PSU Logo merchandise, plus additional, limited-time special discounts, with Alumni Membership Card.

    • NEW! PSU alumni are eligible for an exclusive discount on computers and accessories from Dell! Check out the Dell website and be sure to have your Member ID handy: US31405390.
