Sri Craven is Associate Professor in the Department of Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Portland State University in Oregon. She received her Ph.D. in English and Women's Studies from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and is a literary/cultural studies critic in the postcolonial and transnational feminist theoretical traditions. She studies art and aesthetics as practices through which people live in the world, and theory as explanatory models for the social, cognitive, and philosophical aspects of life. She loves every course she teaches. Her scholarly and creative writings can be found in several leading U.S.-based feminist studies journals. A novel and hot tea are her go-to activities.
