Service description

Google Chat is an online messaging platform that allows you to communicate and collaborate with groups and individuals across PSU. You can access Chat through a web browser, or as a standalone desktop or mobile app.

With Google Chat you can create direct messages or rooms, and manage your chats in one place. You can also collaborate with others using Google Workspace apps such as Docs, Sheets, and Slides, in addition to other third-party tools.

Service details

You can choose from the following options to use Google Chat:

• In a web browser, go to mail.pdx.edu and sign in with your PSU account to use the new Chat widget in Gmail.
• In a web browser, go to chat.google.com and sign in with your PSU account to use the full-screen Chat application. 
• On your mobile device, download Google Chat for Android or Google Chat for iOS.
• On your computer, install the Google Chat standalone app.
