Instructor

Francesca Escoto has launched companies, led sales teams, and managed complex software projects for herself and many of her clients. She started her career as an Industrial Engineer and has certifications as a Professional Coach, Project Manager (PMP), Scrum Master, and sAFE. Francesca grew up launching and running Taekwondo schools in the Dominican Republic with her parents, and that planted a seed for her own serial entrepreneurial journey. Her first venture was developing software to track the performance of aircraft engines while simultaneously leading volunteer efforts in nonprofit organizations. The two paths - corporate and nonprofit leadership - evolved in parallel, allowing her to transfer skills from one sector to the other seamlessly. Today, she is a C-suite executive and Senior Project Manager, managing multi-million dollar initiatives and teams ranging from 7 to 60 individuals.

Francesca has been tapped by MIT Media Lab, WPI, Cosmo For Latinas, SXSW, Code2040, the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, NPR, and others to share her wisdom on their stages and pages. She has a Bachelor of Science BS in Industrial Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and loves being a mom to her three daughters, figurative and portrait painting, and salsa dancing.
