When you choose your major you’ll select an area of concentration: Jews in Antiquity, Modern Jewish History, Israel Studies, Judaism, or Literature, Culture, and the Arts. This allows you to tailor your depth of expertise to your professional aspirations and show your future employer that you are uniquely positioned to succeed in their organization.

SENIOR AUDITOR PURSUING LIFELONG LEARNING

Oregon residents aged 65 and older may audit most of PSU's regular classes on a space-available basis. The Judaic Studies program offer excellent learning opportunities. Auditors report that they make intriguing connections with participants of all ages, and they enjoy the professors engaging teaching style.

Our community auditors bring a wealth of life experience and perspective to Judaic Studies courses and the younger students report their experience of class is enriched by their presence. Learn more on the SALC website.

Advanced undergraduate students and Judaic Studies majors or minors of academic distinction may set up special tutorials, internships, research projects, and by-arrangement courses, with the permission of a qualified instructor.

POST-BACCALAUREATE DEGREE:

MASTERS DEGREE:

The Harold Schnitzer Family Program in Judaic Studies does not at present offer a Masters degree, but our faculty often advise MA students in the History Department who focus on Jewish history.

LIFELONG LEARNING:

Oregon residents aged 65 or older may audit our courses through the Senior Adult Learning Center.
