Ramin Farahmandpur, Educational Leadership and Policy, presented “Socio-Ecological Crisis and the Political Economy of Sustainability” at the International Initiative for Promoting Political Economy in September at the University of Bologna in Italy. Maurice Hamington, Philosophy faculty and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies affiliate faculty, led a series of seminars on the topic of revolutionary care in France during the month of October as part of his work as a Fulbright Specialist. Kathy Harris and Gloria Jacobs, Applied Linguistics faculty, co-presented “Unpacking Employer Supported Education & Learner Experiences” from Oct. 3-5 at the ProLiteracy Conference in San Antonio. Laurence Kominz, World Languages and Literatures faculty emeritus, translated a script and coached a team for a kabuki show in Tokyo.
