Portland State University is proud to welcome non-degree and degree seeking sponsored students to our campus. We strive to provide consistent and caring service for our students and sponsors.

Who is a Sponsored Student?

A student with a scholarship from an outside organization, usually a home government, embassy, or company. A Third-Party Billing Agreement is established between PSU and the sponsoring agency. Sponsors provide their grantees with a financial guarantee letter specifying what educational costs they will cover. PSU invoices sponsors directly for these costs.

Services Provided by the Sponsored Student Programs

Sponsored Student Programs assists students with letters requested by the sponsors. We are also here to explain how university rules, immigration regulations and scholarship rules intersect.

If you are interested in sending your sponsored students to Portland State University, please contact Dr. Sally Mudiamu, Director of International Partnerships & Initiatives to learn more about the programs we offer and the services we provide. We look forward to helping you!
