Mass Spectrometry Facility - Pankow Group

The Facility

The Pankow Group Mass Spectrometry Facility is located at Dr. James Pankow’s lab in Portland State University (PSU). It provides analytical services for the analysis of air, water, industrial hygiene, consumer product, biological, and other samples for PSU faculty and student as well as external customers using gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS), comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography with time-of-flight mass spectrometer (GCxGC TOFMS); comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography with flame ionization detector (GCxGC FID), gas chromatography with flame ionization detector (GC/FID) and with thermal conductivity detector (GC/TCD), high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), ion chromatography (IC), and other instruments. It also provides user training for customers who want to analyze their own samples.
