Jasmin Johnson holds an eternal partnership with freedom in study and imagination in praxis. Her study is rooted in black fugitivity, gender and sexuality, and performance theory. Her pedagogical approach is inextricable from that of integrating queer imagination and black feminism in a cemented practice of radical care. Jasmin earned her undergraduate degree in English with a minor in Black World studies from Oakwood University. She further holds her graduate degree in Social Thought and Humanities from New York University, which produced her thesis in black auditory performances in conjunction with gender non-performance in popular culture using a blend of Motenian and Glissantian theory to mold her studies.
