Aaron Whelton is an Associate Professor in the School of Architecture and a registered architect in Oregon. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Kentucky and a Master of Architecture from the University of California, Los Angeles. Aaron teaches design studios and elective courses that explore the influence of computation on architectural thinking. Course topics include computational design, parametric modeling, digital fabrication, and advanced graphics and media explorations.

Aaron's creative research explores the coding of architectural tectonics through public art installations. Current output can be found in public spaces around the U.S., including Denver, San Diego, San Jose, and Portland. More work will materialize soon in Riverdale Park, Chicago, and Boulder.

Aaron serves on the Community Design Advisory Group (CDAG) for the upcoming Burnside Bridge project. He previously served as an architectural advisor to the David Campbell Memorial Association Board.
