  1. Tina Anctil Peterman, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs in the College of Education, was named an American Council on Education fellow.  
  2. Deborah Arthur, university studies faculty, appeared on OPB’s Think out Loud to speak about the Higher Education in Prison Program. 
  3. Óscar Fernández, university studies faculty, was a panel moderator and co-organizer for “DREAMing in Oregon: A Community Panel Describing the Needs and Aspirations of DACA-mented Oregonians,” March 18 at Teatro Milagro.
  4. Óscar Fernández, university studies, was a panelist for the Open Education Week Webinar, “Faculty Panel on OER [Open Education Resources] in Promotion and Tenure,” on March 10. 
  5. Óscar Fernández, university studies, was awarded the 2020 Ronald E. McNair Post-baccalaureate Achievement Program Mentor Appreciation Award for intellectual guidance and exemplary work with McNair Scholars.
  6. Pronoy Rai, international and global studies faculty, will chair the American Association of Geographers’ Research Grants Committee in 2022-2023. 
  7. Jedd Schrock, applied linguistics, was featured in Underscore’s feature, “You Lose a Language, You Lose a Culture,” about ongoing efforts to create a digital archive of Kalapuya language materials.
  8. Jack Straton, physics and university studies faculty, had one of his photographs chosen to be part of The Firefly Artists Exhibition, “Works on Paper,” from Aug. 14 through Sept. 12 in Northport, New York.
  9. Marvin Washington, business faculty, was interviewed for a Feb. 18 segment on CBC Radio (Canada) on the rise and fall of Peloton.
