As of our last communication the decision had been delayed, as a result of the increased time pressures on committee members as we responded to COVID-19. The challenges our community has faced teaching and learning remotely during a pandemic have further underscored the urgency of providing PSU faculty and students with the best possible learning management system, and we are pleased to inform you that the committee has resumed its work.
A decision will be announced by the Office of Academic Affairs very soon. If PSU is moving to Canvas, this announcement will contain a timeline for the transition and details of the University’s plan for supporting faculty and students through this transition. We want to assure you that any decision made will account for the time and effort needed for a successful transition. Significant lead time and clear and frequent communication will be provided, and no action is required on your part at this time. We realize that there are many implications of this decision and are grateful for the patience and collaboration you have brought to this process.
