Queer Student of Color Conference: Radical Self-Care and the Decolonized Mind.
Friday, April 12, 2013 - 3:26pm

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month

Join the QRC for the Third Annual QSOCC Conference! We who engage in social justice deserve as much self-care as we wish and hope for others. We deserve it because it is what keeps us whole, healed, and mighty in the face of oppression. And yet, many of us put on our “hero capes” and march into the fray without ever taking time for our selves. We feel guilty when we do. What is that guilt? How do we love others, when we are not radically loving ourselves? The 3rd Annual Queer Students of Color Conference asks us to looks at these questions from multiple perspectives and mediums. QSoC Conference is open to all students (graduate and undergaduate), artists, activists, independent scholars, academic administrators and faculty who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, asexual, polyamory , trans* or queer people of color.  Allies are also welcome to participate in the Allied tracks.
