WOKE Week presents a personal finance workshop with Monique Claiborne, wealth manager and founder of the Kenley Group. Monique will lead a workshop that is designed to educate college students on the financial realities of today and what's yet to come. She will present straightforward instructions for how to get your finances in order and prepare for the future. 

Location: Karl Miller Center. Room to be announced.

About Monique Claiborne

Monique Claiborne

Monique is the founder of The Kenley Group, a boutique consulting firm specializing in organizational change management, strategy and process improvement. Before building a robust clientele, Monique served as the Legislative Operations CFO for the City of Detroit. Monique’s work experience also spans Wall Street in NYC and Downing Street in London, England. Monique has a BBA with a concentration in Finance from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business and a MSc in International Public Policy from the University College London. Monique is passionate about ending mass incarceration and volunteers at Oregon’s only women’s prison, Coffee Creek Correctional Facility empowering women in entrepreneurism as a solution for reducing recidivism upon reentry into society. Monique sits on the Board of Directors for both Planned Parenthood Columbia Willamette and Community Alliance of Tenant. When she has down time, Monique is traveling to her hometown of Detroit or expanding her list of countries traveled (more than 50 to date.) Monique resides in NW Portland with her husband and toddler daughter.
