Ken Ruoff delivers lectures in Korea

Ken Ruoff, History professor, gave two lectures at Seoul National University in Korea on March 8:  "Japanese Tourism to Korea Circa 1940: The Tension between Assimilation and Tourism Promotion Policies" and "Japan's Challenge to the International System of Racism." The following day he discussed "Japan's Postwar Symbolic Emperor System: A Return to the 'Authentic' Imperial System?" before the Northeast Asian History Foundation and delivered the "Japanese Tourism" lecture in Japanese before more than 200 people at Chonnam University in Kwangju, South Korea.
