You, I, and Me-We are the Data: Detecting the Connections in the Data—and Its Implications on Decision-making, from Public Policy to Personal Choices

From public policy to personal choices, we rely more and more on more data to make decisions. In the Internet age, this ever-increasing deluge of data often complicates decision-making more than it simplifies. It can be crippling. But it can also be empowering, if you can make the connections. So, how do we make sense of it all? And what does it mean for our leaders who decide public policy? More importantly, what does it mean for you and me? How can our everyday choices improve our own lives—and collectively, improve the lives of our friends across the globe?
