Academic/Research Focus

She has experience working with adults and children living with mental health challenges, refugees from all over the world as part of the federal Match Grant program, adults with developmental disabilities, medical social work in a cancer hospital setting, and working as a case manager in a non-profit with the Latina/o population in upstate New York.  Christine’s research interests include issues related to reproductive justice and women’s health with a focus on women of color, maternal and child health issues, critical social work, and integration of feminist methodologies in research.  She is also interested in environmental racism as it affects women of color and marginalized communities.
