String quartets by members of the Portland State University Composer Consort. Included on the program are pieces by  Matthew Neil Andrews, who recently had a piece premier for the Lou Harrison Centennial by Venerable Showers of Beauty gamelan ensemble; Jake Rose, who recently had a string quartet with percussion premiered by Fear No Music; Aaron Stern's "The Weeping Totem Pole," featuring Artem Kemenyash on clarinet; and Daniel Vega's performance/protest piece "The Meat Grinder," featuring the composer on vocals and a surprise guest performer. JD Davis, Julia Kinzler, and Ben Montgomery round out the program. Free food admission and food!
