PSU Creative Writing & Tin House: A Discussion of the Career and Work of Ursula K. Le Guin

On Thursday, June 7th, 2018 at 6:30pm there will be a discussion on the career and work of Ursula K. Le Guin presented by PSU's Creative Writing Program and Tin House.

The event is free and open to the public and will be held at The Little Church, located at 5138 NE 23rd Avenue in Portland. 

The discussion will feature a panel of three individuals who provide distinct perspectives on Le Guin's writing  and on her life as an activist and literary citizen.

  • Theo Downes-Le Guin is her son and literary executor.
  • Molly Gloss is a fellow writer, former student, and close friend.
  • Linda Long is a scholar and the manuscripts librarian in Special Collections at the University of Oregon's Knight Library, which will be the repository of Le Guin's papers.
  • Gabe Urza is an assistant professor in PSU's MFA Creative Writing Program and will be the panel facilitator.
