Julie Perini, Art & Design faculty, screens "Arresting Power" at PICA

Julie Perini, School of Art + Design faculty in Art Practice, will have a screening of her 2015 feature film, "Arresting Power: Resisting Police Violence in Portland, Oregon" (co-directed with Erin Yanke & Jodi Darby, A+D Adjunct Instructor). The film, co-directed with Erin Yanke & Jodi Darby (A+D Adjunct Instructor), documents the history of conflict between the Portland police and community members throughout the past fifty years. The event is in conjunction with Abigail DeVille's exhibition "The American Future" at the Portland Institute for Contemporary Art (PICA). Discussion with directors to follow. Free & open to the public.
