Tina Anctil, PhD, CRC, LPC, is an associate professor and chair of the Counselor Education Department. She is also the program coordinator for the Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling program. She obtained her PhD in rehabilitation psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is co-principal Investigator on a long-term training grant from the Rehabilitation Services Administration. She teaches courses in Rehabilitation Counseling, as well as general counselor education courses.

Prior to her academic work, she was a vocational rehabilitation counselor and currently maintains a private practice where she provides career counseling and mental health counseling to people with disabilities. She particularly enjoys working with young adults in their transition from high school into adulthood. She provides training and professional development to rehabilitation counselors and school counselors in the area of career development services.

Her research and scholarship focus is on career development for individuals from underrepresented groups in schools and in vocational rehabilitation settings. These include adolescents in foster care, persons with disabilities, and other diverse populations. Dr. Anctil conducts research on the relationship between career development and employment outcomes for people with disabilities.
