PSU promotes a positive and healthy connection to our environment and community every day. Earth Week is another opportunity for us to join an international celebration by hosting several local events. These are free and open to the public.

Saving the Earth, Bite by Bite - Earth Week Panel Discussion

Celebrate Earth Week with an interactive panel discussion on the tremendous potential to transform our world bite by bite, through individual and collective action around our food choices. Snacks will be provided.

The panel will feature:

  • Stephanie Feldstein, Population and Sustainability Director at the Center for Biological Diversity
  • David Macek, Executive Director of Northwest Earth Institute
  • Neeraja Havaligi, Fellow and Board Member of Greater Portland Sustainability Education Network - GPSEN
  • Katie Cantrell, Founder and Executive Director of Factory Farming Awareness Coalition (FFAC)

Collection bins for e-waste will be available in the Market Center Building lobby on these days. In addition, we will be collecting office supplies and other items for the PSU Reuse Room.

Earth Day Festival

Join the Earth Day Spring Festival at PSU's Learning Gardens Laboratory. We will celebrate the growing season and the incredible work and learning that happens at the Laboratory. Everyone is welcome! This annual festival will include a blood drive, live music, kids games and crafts, a plant sale, raffle prizes, garden tours and more.
