Transforming Northwest Portland
Thursday, November 15, 2018 - 12:00pm

This event is presented by the Portland Bureau of Transportation, and hosted at Portland State University with support from the Transportation Research & Education Center (TREC) and the PSU Bike Hub.

Presenters: Nicole Peirce, Capitol Project Manager, Scott Cohen, Capitol Project Manager, Zef Wagner, Transportation Planner

As quadrants go, Northwest Portland is like the sun –  dense, shiny and hard for people to bike through.  But not for long!

Our speakers will cover:

  • the NW 20s Neighborhood Greenway;
  • the NW Flanders Bridge & Neighborhood Greenway;
  • the NW in Motion initiative;
  • the extension of TriMet Line 24; and
  • other projects in progress.

Come and prep for the NW Transportation Open House   (5-7 pm at Chown Hardware, 1605 NW Everett St), or come hear what’s happening if you can’t make the evening event.

The City of Portland Bureau of Transportation is a community partner in shaping a livable city. Bureau staff plan, build, manage and maintain a transportation system with the goal of providing people and businesses access and mobility.

The Transportation Research and Education Center (TREC) at Portland State University is home to the National Institute for Transportation and Communities (NITC), the Initiative for Bicycle and Pedestrian Innovation (IBPI), and other transportation programs. TREC produces research and tools for transportation decision makers, develops K-12 curriculum to expand the diversity and capacity of the workforce, and engages students and young professionals through education.
