KUDOS to our LSAMP students once again!!

The LSAMP Program had wonderful representation from our students and friends at the Ninth Annual PSU Undergraduate Research Conference in Smith Memorial Student Union May 23, 2012. 

Bubacarr Darboe served on the Conference Planning Committee. 

Graduate students, Tochi Nwaoduh and Adam Murray, served as moderators: Tochi led the Sciences Panel and Adam, the Social Sciences Panel. 

Adilene Amaro-Zurita, Environmental Engineering, presented on her research, “the Impact of Traffic and Heavy Vehicles on Air Quality: A Case Study in Portland, Oregon”;

Allie Simpson, Environmental Science, discussed her research, “The Effects of Competition on Distichlis Spicata Seedlings”;

Mondell DeWayne Wells, Mechanical and Materials Engineering, presented research on “Ultrasonic Methods for Liquid Characterization and Screening of Liquid-Filled Containers”
