  • American Association of University Professors (AAUP) (Room 232): Represents over 1,200 faculty and academic professionals employed by PSU. Strives to defend the rights of our bargaining unit through advocacy, collective bargaining, and grievance procedures, and are committed to protecting tenure, due process, and academic freedom.
  • Conference & Event Service Services Office (Rooms 432 & 435): Committed to providing outstanding hospitality and service to clients and guests, PSU is your first stop for planning your next conference or event.
  • Information Center & Smith Operations (Room 120): Stop by the university's Information Center and home of Smith Operations for campus information, wayfinding assistance, details on events and happenings on campus, building and event support and the lost and found for items valued at $50 or less.
  • Office of Academic Innovation (Second Floor Mezzanine): Provides leadership and support for campus activities that explore and promote excellence in teaching and learning, innovative curricular technology use, and community based learning.

  • PSU Eats (SMSU 28): The SMSU has partnered with PSU Eats to offer a brand-new dining experience for the Portland State community. In addition to two new dining centers—Smith's Kitchen and Smith's Place— PSU Eats offers a variety of meal plans to accommodate different schedules and eating habits. PSU Eats follows Portland State’s sustainability mission by focusing on local, regional, sustainable and humane foods. 

  • PSU Caters (SMSU 260): Let PSU Caters guide you, from designing the perfect menu to personalizing all the details of your unique gathering. Our catering services can accommodate any size, theme or individual requirements, in virtually any location— on or off campus.   • Service Employees International Union (SEIU) (Room 1, Basement): The chapter's purpose is to represent classified staff at PSU, enforce the collective bargaining agreement, and negotiate benefits, wages, and contract issues.
  • Smith Advising Center (M305, Third Floor Mezzanine): The Smith Advising Center provides the intellectual foundation for the liberal and professional education of students at PSU and for the enhancement of the quality of life in the metropolitan area.
  • TRiO Support Services (M322, Third Floor Mezzanine): TRiO programs help students overcome class, social and cultural barriers to higher education.
  • Upward Bound (M322, Third Floor Mezzanine): A college preparation program for high school students.
