PSU History
Mauryn started at PSU College of Urban and Public Affairs: Northwest Economic Research Center (NERC) in 2012 as an administrative assistant with research assistant duties. Assisted and worked on report presentation for Oregon’s Electric Vehicle Industry, Contribution of the Film & Television Industry to the Economies of Oregon and the Portland metropolitan Area, Carbon Tax and Shift, and Highway Cost Allocation Study.

Mauryn transferred to PSU Center for Improvement of Child and Family Services (CCF’s Research Team), as a research analyst with administrative program assistant and research assistant duties. Mauryn assisted in the evaluation for the Child Welfare Waiver IV Demonstration Project (RBV and Parent Mentor). She also improved and implemented new business systems for the Research Team such as gift-card ordering and tracking system and a fluid payroll tracking system that are compliant with PSU policies and procedures.

She continues at PSU Center for Improvement of Child and Family Service (CCF- Central leadership and support Team), as a Business Coordinator. Mauryn also assisted in ‘Knowing Who You Are’ (KWYA) Business Strategy Planning and Evaluation Project. (KWYA is a research-based training curriculum designed to raise awareness about the importance developing a heathly sense of racial and ethnic identity).

Professional/Research Focus: Financial analysis, business strategy

Personal Interest: Mauryn enjoys riding her motorcycle and hiking in the summer. She also enjoys volunteering at CASH/AARP Tax Preparation Services during tax season and being part of PSU Diversity Action Council throughout the year.
