Darin Glatt, co-founder and CTO of MobileRQ graduated from Portland State University in 2000 with a Bachelor's in Computer Science.

Portland startup MobileRQ announced today that Verizon Investments, the communications company's venture capital arm, has invested $800,000 in the business to help launch its technology.

MobileRQ's tools aim to connect travelers to travel and hospitality companies by sending information to customers' smartphones and tablets.

Verizon previously invested in Portland mobile software developer Urban Airship.
