SSW Mentor Project

Hello PSU School of Social Work Network!

The School of Social Work is launching a Mentor Project for students in their final year! The mentor project is designed to endorse the integration of social, academic, and professional support to ensure that students become successful contributing members of the social work profession.

We are looking for talented social workers who would like begin a one-on-one mentor relationship with a MSW or BSW student in their final year of the program! Being a mentor can be an extremely meaningful and rewarding experience, we hope that you will consider this opportunity!

Additional Information:


  • Participants are required to attend the Mentor Program Orientation in September
  • We hope that Mentors will begin building and maintaining relationships by interacting with students 1-2 times per month via face-to-face, phone, or email communication. 
  • The School of Social Work will also provide occasional group mentoring opportunities. 
  • The proposed length of time for engagement in the mentor relationship is from September to June.
