Experience: Michelle has been working in the field of Child Welfare since 1995. She has been employed as a full time Training Specialist with Portland State University, Child Welfare Partnership since 2005. Michelle has been a caseworker in protective services and permanency planning, During her time as a caseworker she was an ICWA Liaison and is currently on the planning committee for the annual Indian Child Welfare Conference. In 2002 Michelle received the Director’s Excellence Award for her collaborative work with families and the community.

Teaching/Training Areas: Child Protective Services; Visitation; Neglect; Child Interviewing; ICWA; Maintaining Family Connections and Supervisory training.

Interests: Spending time with family; especially her new granddaughter; boating; hiking and relaxing!
