GM selected Portland State University to launch its newest entry into the electric vehicle category, the Spark. "Portland is a leading community that encourages and enables electric vehicle adoption," said Britta Gross, EV manager for Chevrolet. "PSU's Electric Avenue is the best place in the country to test the Spark on different charging technology in a real world environment."

The fast DC charging capability of the Spark EV allow it to charge 80% of its battery in 20 minutes with a full charge providing an EPA-estimated range of 82 miles.
