Professional Development Opportunities




Our department is an approved ASHA Continuing Education Provider. We host professional development workshops for practicing clinicians throughout the year. These workshops are geared toward current topics in our disciplines as well as related to teaching and mentoring. We strive to offer information on evidence-based practice in the field of speech-language pathology.

6 Weeks in Quito, Ecuador

If you're an SLP who is interested in improving your Spanish skills, join faculty and students from the PSU SPHR program for 6 weeks in Ecuador this summer!  You will take language classes, work in clinical settings, live with a homestay family, travel, and learn more about best practices for working with Spanish-English populations. Earn continuing education credits. Join us!

Speech-Language Pathologists Advocating for Bilingulism (SABOR)

If you're interested in meeting with other SLPs to discuss topics related to working with children from linguistically and culturally diverse backgrounds, please attend our monthly study group, SABOR (SLPs Advocating for Bilingualism in Oregon).  We meet the first Thursday of every month, 5:15 - 7:00pm.  ASHA CEUs are offered.
