The PSU Speech and Language Clinic serves adults of all ages with communication, and/or cognitive challenges. Under the supervision and guidance of expert speech-language pathologists, PSU graduate students provide individualized evaluation and treatment. Individual sessions are 50 minutes, twice a week. All sessions are located on the PSU Campus in Neuberger Hall in the PSU Speech and Language Clinic.
Our clinic serves adults using a multi-modality approach with a primary focus on functional communication and social integration. Our goal is to treat the impairment for long-term return of function, while providing a functional means of communication so individuals can remain connected to their communities. For clients with Aphasia, we use a Supported Communication with Persons with Aphasia (SCA) approach to reveal and acknowledge competence every step of the way in the rehabilitation process. There are no barriers. Let us help you build your ramp to successful communication.
In addition, our board certified specilaists in swallowing can provide consultation to individuals and agencies on safe swallowing starategies and diet modifications.
