Coaching for Multi-Tier System of Supports: School-wide Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports Certificate of Completion

Many school districts across the country are implementing a Multi-Tier System of Supports (MTSS) for behavior (SW- PBIS) and academics (RTI). These districts need systems and coaching to support sustained high fidelity implementation within their schools. The MTSS Certificate of Completion is a series of three online courses designed to prepare individuals in the skills, practices and knowledge necessary to coach and support schools to implement School-Wide Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (SW-PBIS). This series is specifically designed for coaches, administrators, or consultants who work with multiple schools to implement MTSS for behavior (SW-PBIS). Course content will present a framework for implementing a multi-tiered system of supports that integrates training, coaching, and evaluation for application at the district, regional or state level.

The PBIS Coaching Certificate program helped and challenged me to transition into thinking more deeply about my role as a PBIS coach.  It has provided me with a rich repertoire of tools, resources, materials and procedures that have directed my PBIS coaching efforts to the right path.

Program benefits

Yes, things at our school are running much smoother. The team dynamic has shifted and we are working more efficiently. The coursework from last quarter prepared me to support our team in having a strong Tier 1 rollout at the beginning of the year. It's exciting to see how far we've come.
