Eligible students may receive routine testing for non-symptomatic* Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) at SHAC Health Services. SHAC offers testing for, but not limited to: HIV, Gonorrhea, and Chlamydia. STI testing is offered by appointment Mondays and Tuesdays from 10:30 a.m. through 3:50 p.m. Call 503.725.2800 to schedule an appointmnent or visit the Patient Portal.


STI testing performed at SHAC is covered at 100% for those enrolled in the PSU Student Health Insurance Plan.

Students with private insurance who have provided their private health insurance information will be billed by SHAC's outside diagnostic laboratory. Please note that students with private insurance may be responsible for a portion of the bill. SHAC's outside diagnostic laboratory does not contract with all health insurance providers.

Students may qualify for free or reduced-cost testing through a partnership with the Oregon State Public Health Division. Tests that incur will be billed to a student's PSU account.

*If you are experiencing symptoms (itching, burning, discharge, bumps), or have a known exposure, call SHAC or see an Urgent Care provider as soon as possible.
