Student Health Insurance Plan Eligibility

Students registered in the requisite number of credit hours in a given term are eligible for the PSU Student Health Insurance Plan.

Restricted Differential Tuition Credits do not count toward the minimum required registration hours for insurance eligibility.  This includes most study abroad courses.

Domestic students who drop below 5 credit hours by the end of the second week of the term, will no longer be eligible for the PSU Student Health Insurance Plan for that term.

If a PSU Health Insurance Waiver is approved during the current academic year, but you later lose your health insurance coverage, you may choose to opt back in to the Student Health Insurance Plan within 30 days of the loss of coverage by contacting the SHAC Insurance Team
