What’s it like to be a 16-year old girl in Russia today?
It depends which side of the tracks you’re on.
Performance evenings include both short plays followed by talkbacks. Boom Arts will present themed talkback conversations following each performance.
On November 21, playwright Yaroslava Pulinovich will join us via Skype from Yekaterinburg, Russia to discuss her work and Russian theatre today. On November 22, Prof. Ann Mussey of Portland State University and Prof. Tatiana Osipovich of Lewis & Clark College will discuss the play’s gender politics from a US and Russian perspective. On November 23, the talkback, sponsored by the World Affairs Council, will explore issues of socio-economic inequality in Russia today.
